Dr. Genevieve Groom founded Choices in 2024 to fill the gap in national, specialist career services for survivors of domestic abuse. Choices brings together her lived experience of domestic abuse and her professional expertise in occupational psychology and coaching.

“Progressing in my own career has been key to recovering from domestic abuse. Being in stable work gave me financial security, social support, and helped me to rebuild my confidence, self-esteem and assertiveness. Through Choices, I aim to help others benefit from the protective effects of work and move on to more positive futures, free from abuse.”
